How design can bridge social divides

Petra Janssen

Petra Janssen is a designer and founder of Studio Boot. With her multidisciplinary approach, she has been working at the intersection of graphics, space, product and society for over 30 years.

Together with Simone Kramer, she initiated Social Label, a movement that sees work and design as instruments for participation and appreciation.

With projects such as the Werkwarenhuis in Den Bosch, she combines design, activism, and urban development – and shows how design can bridge social divides and create new forms of coexistence.

Design Thinking? I love Design DOING!
