Here we go! Ground-breaking ceremony at the Fire Brigade Experience Museum
fter several years of planning, the Rhineland-Palatine Firefighter Museum is now starting to take shape.
The groundbreaking ceremony was part of the city festival in Hermeskeil. A scale model of the museum is on display. The project’s value is around three million euros. „The city of Hermeskeil will surely benefit from the new museum. And the fire brigades of Rhineland-Palatinate that help citizens all around the country will be honoured for their outstanding commitment,” said State Secretary Heike Raab at the groundbreaking ceremony in Hermeskeil. The opening will probably be celebrated in autumn next year. dreiform is currently planning an exhibition with more than 1,000 m2 that takes visitors on a fascinating journey through the world of firefighters. In 5 different areas, visitors experience the development of the first fire brigades, the work of today’s fire fighters and their tools.
