Jonas Voigt

Jonas is a designer, strategist & teacher. As Senior Manager & Design Lead at Etribes, Hamburg, he supports companies in their digital transformation. His understanding of design was shaped by his studies of transdisciplinary design in North America. He teaches at universities on the subject of design futuring and transformation and is a member of the DGTF. His work has received international awards, including at the Design Museum Holon and Philadelphia Museum of Art.

  1. What is your role in the area of (design for) transformation?

    I use my expertise in design to identify and present complex problems. This enables shared understanding, trial and error, failure, learning and ultimately change.

  2. Your mission in one sentence? What do you want to change? And why?

    I am convinced that design helps to shape relationships. By this I mean an understanding of the interconnectedness of people, technologies and ecosystems. We need complex solutions for complex issues because everything is interconnected.

    An inspiring, honest and open exchange of different perspectives and a happy gathering of people who want to make a difference.

    Insights into an experimental design and teaching practice, as well as experiences from digital consulting. This in combination with a short impulse on the topic of shaping futures, in which I will discuss strategies and scenarios in a participatory wa

  5. What should the audience definitely know about you?

    I once made limited edition butter with an industrial robot: Robutter. Joking aside: I am very inquisitive, but also quickly bored.
