Sustainable transformation: upcycling office furniture at RheinEnergie
As part of the "Office Concept 2.0" for our long-standing client RheinEnergie, we initiated a special upcycling project: We transformed over 400 storage units into lockable lockers that are perfectly suited to the changing requirements of the new world of work.
From storage space to locker: The idea
With the advance of digitalization and the introduction of home office structures, many classic storage units have lost their original function. Instead of simply disposing of them, we have decided to upcycle them sustainably together with RheinEnergie and our furniture partner Steelcase

The result:
The furniture update includes the installation of hinged doors with locking systems that transform the storage space into lockable lockers. This modular update is not only quick to implement - in just 15 minutes per cabinet - but also makes ecological and economic sense.
